Frontier ELAC off to a great start!
On Tuesday October 29th, Mrs. Maroke and Ms. Robles hosted our first English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC) meeting of the year. Families in attendance gained a wealth of information and resources. The FHS ELAC serves as an opportunity for parents to discuss and advise on issues that affect English learners. This committee will meet five times this school year.
Due to the strong wind and hazardous air quality from the surrounding fires, FHS Back To School Night 2019 was rescheduled to this past Tuesday. Thank you to our dynamic duo, Mr. Jackson and Mrs. Hill for their planning and preparations for this event. Rocket ASB members were in attendance to greet our families at check-in along with our OUHSD food and nutrition services that provided tasty food samples during the night. Other community agencies, military organizations, and Oxnard and Ventura colleges were present to provide resources and information for everyone.
ROCKETS represented at Career Education Showcase
Our FHS Robotics represented at the 2019 Career Showcase last evening. With our partnership with CEC, Frontier HS students have the opportunities to take courses in varying pathways that include; Entrepreneurship, Auto Body, Public Safety, Medical Terminology and File & Makeup. Students gain an appreciation of learning that allow for valuable workplace skills. These skills help to prepare them for their future careers and studies.
Congratulations to our recent graduates
