ASB Hosts ODC Meeting
On Monday, Frontier High School’s ASB opened its doors and hosted the monthly Oxnard District Council (ODC) monthly meeting. Student representatives and advisors from nine district high schools attended. Adiranna Gutierrez and Rachel Reyes respectfully represented FHS. FHS ASB did a magnificent job making posters for every visiting school and for setting up the library. Special thanks to staff members Julie Varde, Maria Toledo and Martha Valles for their hard work and support. FHS will host next year’s ODC meeting in September 2020.
Rocket Staffulty held a Catapult staff training during collaboration time. The training was facilitated by Teo Lopez from the District as an ongoing safety initiative.
ASB students continue to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage month with fun activities during lunch. One of the events included a caballo dorado “line dancing”.

The Leos have been hard at work – through the summer, as well as September. They volunteered with the Best Day Foundation (working with special needs children) three times, worked with Kids & Families (working with foster youth) at the Back to School event, donated to and participated in the Suicide Prevention Walk, and worked at the Amber’s Light Lions dinner to earn money for their charity account. This weekend they will be working with the Pleasant Valley Lions at the Pumpkin Festival in Moorpark. It’s been a very busy month!
