CAMPUS NEWS:

The FHS LEO Club has been very busy lately! Here are some of the things they have been doing.

The Leo’s voted to purchase 18 blanket kits to make for the homeless. They worked on these blankets during their lunch breaks and after school. When they were completed, they delivered the blankets and served dinner at the temporary homeless shelter located at the old armory in Oxnard.

They prepared spirit signs for our 1st ever Robotics competition and attended the competition for support.

They voted to donate $1000 to the 805 Miracle League, thus becoming a founding member.

Finally, they worked with the PV Lions at Tierra Rejada on the first weekend of the Spring Fair.

On Friday & Saturday, the FHS Leos worked with Kids and Families at the Spring Fling for foster youth.   They first helped to load the vans, and then returned to work at the event.  One of our newest Leos, Miguel, even served as the Easter Bunny for the kids.

On Tuesday, seven of our Rockets went to the Youth Truth collaboration at the District.  They spent the day disseminating responses of the survey and creating a presentation for Thursday’s LPAC meeting.

Students have been working hard in the garden!! They’ve now harvested carrots, beets, and radishes. They’ve even built a greenhouse to help other plants grow! On top of all that, students have recently planted some fruit trees. These students have been working hard to beautify Frontier and start providing healthy, fresh, organic foods in the process.

Way to go SNACK Club!
