A special congratulations to our Frontier High School 2018 Champions who won the 2 on 2 basketball tournament. This was put on by the Ventura County alternative education program. GO ROCKETS!

Congratulations Mr. Sanchez

A special congratulations to Mr. Ricardo Sanchez who was awarded the prestigious Social Science Scholar award this week.  Mr. Sanchez was joined by Department Chair Michael Emard, Dean of Students Dr. Scott McNutt, Learning Design Coach Josh Chancer and most importantly a few of his wonderful students!!  Way to go Mr. Sanchez!!

Driver’s Ed Guest Speaker

Ben Lopez from the Ventura County Sheriff Department came to speak to Mr. Montelongo’s Drivers Education class. The discussion was about driving under the influence, both drugs and alcohol. They were also able to show the students how a Field Sobriety Test works and how it is used to determine if one is unfit to drive.

Wow, what a week it’s been!  Last Friday we had our first Health Fair, sponsored by our SNAC club and their advisor, Mr. Cody Zoesch, along with ASB.  For the Health of It brought together community organizations, such as Clinicas, Food Forward, AMR and Interface, along with businesses, 24 Hour Fitness and Jamba Juice to provide students with information and activities to educate and enhance their health.  It was a wonderful day for all!

This event was followed up on Monday with DJ Hecktic from 95.9 helping to announce raffle winners from those students who completed Friday’s circuit.

On Thursday we had our final blood drive with United Blood Services.  Once again, our students did us proud with their generous life savings contributions!
